Glasses cases and pouches designed for opticians

Glasses rarely leave the shop without a case, and that case tends to stay with the customer for a long time, which makes it one of the most visible brand touchpoints an optician has. Our Glasses Cases category brings together the formats used every day in the optical trade, from the case the glasses are handed over in to multi-compartment cases for several pairs and cleaning accessories.

The whole range is part of our own catalogue, with prices excluding VAT, and every item except one can carry your logo, so handover, storage and aftercare all share the same image.

Hard glasses cases in three sizes

The hard case with a hinged lid is the standard format for handing over prescription glasses and sunglasses. All three models have a hinged lid and an inner lining, and the main difference between them is the usable height:

• Small (GAF2R), 155×55×36 mm: 140×35×16 mm inside, for narrow, slim frames. In black faux leather with a light grey lining, or in a grey soft-touch finish with a black velvet lining.
• Medium (GAF1R), 160×65×33 mm: 150×53×22 mm inside and the model with the most variants: glossy black faux leather with a black or a light grey lining, dark grey faux leather and brown faux leather, the last two with a black lining. See the black hard glasses case GAF1R-N.
• Large (GAF3R), 167×64×42 mm: 145×50×35 mm inside, with extra height for thick acetate frames and bulkier sunglasses. In black or grey faux leather, with a black velvet lining.

A folding case that is stored flat

The GAF4P-N folding glasses case has a rectangular shape, a black metallic-look faux leather exterior and a light grey lining. It closes with a concealed magnet and, when not in use, folds flat, so it takes up very little stockroom space. Assembled, it measures 170×50×45 mm, with a 164×40×40 mm interior.

Soft glasses cases and a satin pouch

When unit cost or shipping weight comes first, soft formats are the alternative to a rigid shell:

• Soft squeeze-top glasses case (GAF5B), 178×85×5 mm: matt black or brown faux leather. It opens when you press the sides and closes by itself when you let go. It weighs around 25 g.
• Soft velvet-lined glasses case (GAF6B), 178×85×5 mm: a flat case in matt faux leather with stitched edges and a velvet interior, in black, grey or brown. See the black soft velvet-lined glasses case GAF6B-N and its two other colours.
• Satin glasses pouch with a drawstring (GAF7S), 205×100×5 mm: black satin with a drawstring closure. At around 10 g it is the lightest option, useful for seasonal sunglasses, corporate gifts or as a travel pouch.

Glasses cases with compartments for storing and displaying several pairs

To keep several pairs in one place there are three lidded glasses cases with individual compartments, with a black or brown faux leather exterior and a velvet interior:

• 3 compartments (GAF8C), 162×184×52 mm: for customers who alternate between prescription glasses, sunglasses and reading glasses, or for presenting a short selection on the counter.
• 5 compartments (GAF9C), 301×168×52 mm: for a small personal collection or a sales representative's sample range.

Cleaning kit and microfibre cloths

Everyday extras for sales and aftercare:

How to choose a glasses case for each use

Handing over at the practice. Measure the folded frame and compare it with the internal height: 16, 22 and 35 mm in the small, medium and large hard cases, and 40 mm in the folding case.

Online sales and shipping. A hard case weighs between 139 and 161 g; a soft case, around 25 g; and the satin pouch, around 10 g. If you ship a lot of glasses, that difference counts in every parcel.

Storage and display. The glasses cases with 3, 5 and 12 compartments keep each pair separate, whether in the back room or on the counter.

Travel and sunglasses. A rigid shell is the most suitable option for carrying glasses in a handbag or in luggage. In jewellers and accessories shops, the soft cases and the satin pouch cover seasonal collections, while hard cases suit higher-priced sunglasses.

Materials and colours

Faux leather is the main material for the cases, with glossy, matt, soft-touch or metallic-look finishes depending on the model, and black or light grey linings, in velvet on several models. Black is available in every case and in the satin pouch; grey in the three hard cases and the stitched soft case; and brown in the medium hard case, both soft cases and the three cases with compartments.

Personalisation with your logo

Every item except the grey GAF12L cloth can be personalised with your logo. Setting up your logo (the cliché, or printing plate) is a one-off charge of €30 + VAT that covers all your future orders, and before production we email you a proof for approval. The position and maximum size depend on the format:

• Hard cases and folding case: on the outside of the lid, up to 90 × 38 mm (90 × 35 mm on the grey GAF2R).
• Soft cases and satin pouch: front or back, up to 60 × 38 mm on the soft cases and up to 90 × 38 mm on the satin pouch.
• Cases with compartments: on the outside of the lid, up to 120 × 120 mm on the 3-compartment case; 180 × 120 mm (black) or 150 × 120 mm (brown) on the 5-compartment case; and 180 × 150 mm on the 12-compartment case.
• Cleaning kit: on the kit box, up to 50 × 50 mm.
• GAF13L cloth: front or back, one-colour print up to 70 × 80 mm.

Frequently asked questions about glasses cases

Which hard case should I choose for my frames?

Look at the internal height: 16 mm in the GAF2R for slim frames, 22 mm in the GAF1R as the mid-size option and 35 mm in the GAF3R for thick frames and bulky sunglasses.

Can I personalise every product with my logo?

Every product except the grey GAF12L cloth; the GAF13L cloth, on the other hand, is only sold with a logo. The cliché is a one-off charge of €30 + VAT that remains valid for future orders, and before production you will receive a proof by email for approval.

What is the minimum order?

It depends on the product and on whether it carries a logo: it is shown on each product page.

What is the difference between the two soft cases?

The GAF5B is a squeeze-top case that opens when you press the sides. The GAF6B is a flat case with a velvet interior and stitched edges, available in black, grey and brown.

How long does it take to produce the microfibre lens cloth with a logo?

It is made to order with your logo, in approximately 9-10 weeks from approval of the proof.
